Jade Annaw's Sad Girl video series is an exploration into the capitalisation of lost, unrealised and gut wrenching love - alongside an enquiry into the sustainability of ‘real life’ v.s online romance. The series indulges in ideas such as the thirst to attain attention online through deliberate development of persona and aesthetic, as well as how to transform ones self-loathing and vulnerability into powerful, desirable and enticing assets.
